Convos from the qiibee Kitchen #5 — CEO Edition
Presenting you the final entry in our 5-part series! Featuring our CEO and Co-Founder, Gabriele Giancola.
This is it… We are so close to the end of 2020 and with that, we wanted to end the 5-part blog post series with a blast…The CEO edition entry… Of course featuring our amazing Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Gabriele Giancola, who will give us insight from the Governance team. It is finally time to hear what’s up behind the scenes from none other than the Co-Founder himself.
What’s your team?
Together with Gianluca, my brother, and co-founder, our main focus is on the overall growth of the company, so we’ll work closely with the whole team of superstars on achieving our goals.
Who are your colleagues?
With our current team size, we are basically all colleagues. We update each other every day so that the whole team is always synced on what is happening and aligned on the goals we want to achieve. This is one of the advantages of the size we have right now with 12 people in the team, you execute fast at a very high standard whilst still maintaining a high level of communication and decision-making skills.
What do you do on a normal day?
In a start-ups life, there are no normal days, every day is a surprise and you have to take it as it comes. In reality, it’s less crazy, yes start-ups are very exciting since parts are moving very fast and you quickly see the results of your work. But at the end of the day, it’s a lot of discipline and persistence. So my days look very similar, I start the day with a workout and get ready for the day. After our daily team stand-up, I’m mostly in meetings the whole day with team members, customers, partners, and advisors to work on our growth. In between, I have some time to check emails and prepare for the next meeting. Actually, I like to work in the evening after dinner on tasks that I can do by myself, e.g. working on a presentation or answering more mails (yes, the mailbox is never empty).
Why do you like our product?
When I think of how big our vision is and how it will completely change the future of loyalty, I get goosebumps and I’m very excited! Our solution is literally a no brainer for everyone participating. And this is exactly what new technologies are all about, using them to unleash new values by expanding and changing existing paradigms.
How would you explain our product to your mother?
Since she likes to travel, I would explain to her that through us, all the registrations she made with various loyalty programs finally have a sense. They will get her a free round trip around the world.
What are your team’s plans for the next 12 months?
Can’t tell you, it’s a secret But it will be big!
We hope you enjoyed this special entry in our blog post series and remember if you aren’t ready for 2021, it’s time to say your goodbyes to 2020 because the year is coming to an end sooner than we think. That being said, so too comes the end of this 5-part series. Stay tuned in 2021 for more novel concept-series and awesome updates. Don’t forget to leave any interesting loyalty or blockchain-related topics and questions in the comments. If you have any burning questions about these topics or simply find a topic interesting, this is your best chance to be featured on our blog and social channels.
As always stay safe, stay loyal, and always stay hungry!
